Honest Answers about the Murder of President John F. Kennedy: A New Look at the JFK Assassination
Vincent Palamara was born in Pittsburgh and graduated from Duquesne University with a degree in Sociology.
Although not even born when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, Vince brings fresh eyes to an old case. In fact, Vince would go on to study the largely overlooked actions - and inactions - of the United States Secret Service in unprecedented detail, as well as achieving a world's record in the process, having interviewed and corresponded with over 80 former agents (the House Select Committee on Assassinations had the old record of 46 with a 6 million dollar budget and subpoena power from Congress), not to mention many surviving family members, White House aides, and even quite a few Parkland and Bethesda medical witnesses for a corresponding project. The result was Survivor's Guilt: The Secret Service & The Failure To Protect President Kennedy.
Vince is also the author of the books JFK: From Parkland To Bethesda, The Not-So-Secret Service, Who's Who in the Secret Service, and Honest Answers about the Murder of President John F. Kennedy: A New Look at the JFK Assassination.
All told, Vince has been favorably mentioned in over 140 JFK and Secret Service related books to date (including two whole chapters in Murder in Dealey Plaza, The Secret Service: The Hidden History Of An Enigmatic Agency by Philip Melanson, and the Final Report of the Assassination Records Review Board, among many others), often at length, in the bibliographies, and in the Secret Service - and even medical evidence - areas of these works.
Vince has appeared on the History Channel's THE MEN WHO KILLED KENNEDY (VHS and DVD), C-SPAN, Newsmax TV, A COUP IN CAMELOT (DVD/BLU RAY), KING KILL '63, THE MAN BEHIND THE SUIT (DVD), National Geographic's JFK: THE FINAL HOURS (including on DVD), PCN, BPTV, local cable access television, YouTube, radio, newspapers, print journals, at national conferences, and all over the internet. Also, Vince's original research materials, or copies of said materials, are stored in the National Archives (by request under Deed Of Gift by the ARRB), the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, Harvard University, the Assassination Archives and Research Center, and the Dallas Public Library.
Vince Palamara has become known (as he was dubbed by the History Channel in 2003) "the Secret Service expert." As former JFK Secret Service agent Joe Paolella proclaimed: "You seem to know a lot about the Secret Service, maybe even more than I do!" Agent Dan Emmett calls Vince a Secret Service expert in his new book.
I’m enjoying your new book, Honest Answers. I have a question about Dr. Shaw and the bullet that “will be removed before he goes to the recovery room.” Is there any documented evidence or testimony from any doctor about actually removing that bullet? A good friend of mine is a pathologist and she said he could easily have been mistaken when he said that since, being a thoracic surgeon, he was probably focused on the chest wounds and didn’t necessarily see the bullet in the leg himself and was just saying what he thought was probably the case.

As for the bullet and Dr. Shaw: I suppose one could say it is possible–with the advent of (much) time passing, Shaw dead, Connally dead, etc., we will never know for certain. That said, we do have Kellerman’s sworn testimony that he heard this from Dr. Burkley, as well as the newspaper account the next day. Dr. Shaw was Connally’s chief surgeon and was the spokesman literally for the entire world, as ABC, NBC, and CBS simulcast his words for the press and the world to hear. Down in that blood and guts, first hand and millimeters away, it is hard to believe he would be mistaken and tell the world about this with such apparent certainty. He didn’t say “fragment” or anything…just the bullet.

But is there any evidence or testimony of anyone actually removing the bullet? I haven‘t come across any. Here’s what bothers me:
Dr. Shaw would have soon heard the news that they had found “the bullet” on a stretcher, the bullet that supposedly had been in Connally’s leg, and he would have realized immediately that this couldn’t be true, it couldn’t be the same bullet because he would have seen(or would have known about) the bullet being removed from Connally before being sent to recovery. These doctors would have more than just not been “satisfied“ with the magic bullet theory, they would have known with absolute certainty that it could not be true and that the “magic bullet” could not be the same bullet that they had just removed.
Sure! You MUST keep in mind- you cannot always think like a researcher/ voracious reader. Things were/ are so compartmentalized in this case AND people often do not realize the ramifications of their statements/observations…Clint Hill for years stating that the back of the head was gone + the back wound was a back wound (not a back-of-the-neck wound) + denounces the single bullet theory, yet adamantly believes Oswald acted alone and there was no conspiracy…Governor John Connally adamantly denying the single bullet theory was true, yet he also believed Oswald acted alone and there was no conspiracy…what is obvious to you and I (and others) is often NOT the case with principals in this case. Dr. Shaw died in 1993 and no one ever broached the subject with him, AS THE VIDEO WAS ONLY DISCOVERED BY A TOTAL FLUKE BY ME in 1991, two years before his death and years before VCRs and the net for people to discover and ponder this. Connally died in 1993 and never ever saw the contradictions, while Hill is just a plain old fool who would never ever admit that something is rotten in Denmark. Several of the Parkland doctors (and even some Bethesda folks) made statement against official history about the wounds, yet are also on record stating basically “get a life-Oswald did it alone.” These people were principals in the case with big full-time responsibilities and were often sheltered from conspiracy talk (coupled with a compliant press NOT apt to note any contradictions).
